~ Hey lookie! It be done XD. I hope SD1 enjoys this. Okay, after the update, I worked on it for about five hours... so this is... 6 hours total? at least? OMFGRUDGE I thought my hand was going to fall off D: By the way, I tried to make the fur look natural (I even looked up how the fur on a wolf grows O_O) And I just wanted to know if the fur looks good. I enjoyed doing this and I might do this (and my comic style) for my trades and commissions (specify which one you would want tho) and go from there. The fur is supposed to look rough/fluffy on the shoulders. OH! , you can contact me if you want the unwatermarked version of this! I have it |D Thanks! Let me know if you want the no watermark version. It looks better. I can send it by email :3
Sorry that the mask looks weird o-o it does. The wearing of the wood looks more like sparkly dust XD Sorry San!
This is quite the image you have here, I really do enjoy the overall feel of it.
However, there are a few parts about it that do bug me just a tad. One being the right ear. In that particular angle of the canine's face, the ear wouldn't be facing this direction unless it was turned sideways, and that would call for a tilt of the ear. If it was facing forwards as the other ear is, that would do well for the head anatomy. ^^ The muzzle also looks a tad small on the canine, though it might just be the large/r size of the eye hole that makes it look so small. The nose is a good size as well, but could use for enlargement. I really do enjoy the fur textures, especially the roughness, though it seems a bit more like a wirey, short pelt on the shoulders than rough long/medium-length fur. Fur direction also seems to be growing in the wrong direction, though I've not exactly studied the fur growth patterns on wolves much myself. The scruff of all of the fur on the neck then the sudden smoothness on the shoulder is a tad puzzling, and the whole image probably could have went without the line art since it has so much fur detail. In actuality, the mask would've needed the line art, since it doesnt really have detail on it. Perhaps adding a wooden texture would have added equal quality to the image, since the body is so detailed but yet the mask seems just to be put there. The quick shading of the mask really doesnt seem to match facial structure either, so more shading could work, and highlights couldn't hurt. Lovely background choice as well, it's really simple and the rainbow-like colors are soft and not too bright. ^^
Beautiful work, overall. I really admire your skill in the fur department, it just needs a tad work. ^^ I wouldn't suggest using it for a comic though, since most professional comics are either cell-shaded or just lightly shaded, and all of that work on the fur might just cause you to tire and change your methods halfway through, which really isn't something I'd recommend unless you were redoing all of the pages. However, using it for commissions could turn to your advantage, just remember to keep equal details in all aspects of the piece~
Hehe, decided to leave you a crit. since you did the pleasure of giving me one ^^
Thanks! I'll be finished with it by tonight hopefully. Thanks for favorite. The finished picture will just replace this one, so look for the update ^w^
XD I tried this and I was all "OMFGRUDGE, it's like, perfect owo;;;" because I can't do fur. Then I wanted to try something that seemed to work in my head, so I did and this is what happened
